Construction Manager

Purpose: Oversee successful delivery of construction and maintenance projects.

Qualifications: National Diploma or higher in Construction or Engineering.

Experience: 5-10 years experience in the engineering and construction field. Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in high-value projects.

Other: A project management qualification would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities: Plan, resource and manage projects. Manage budgets and procurement. Provide direction. Coach, mentor and train staff. Manage performance. Write reports. Develop new business. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders. Enforce health and safety policies, procedures and regulations. Create and improve processes and systems.

Construction Supervisors

Purpose: Supervise construction and maintenance assignments to deliver successful projects.

Qualifications: N6/National Diploma or higher in Construction or Engineering.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years post-apprenticeship/qualification experience in the engineering and construction field.

Other: A valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities: Plan assignments. Schedule staff. Manage materials and supplies. Supervise, coach, mentor and train staff. Chair operations and safety meetings. Manage performance. Write reports. Manage project documentation. Enforce health and safety policies, procedures and regulations. Consult with internal and external project stakeholders.

Adhere to health and safety policies, procedures and regulations. Train relevant personnel on operation of plant, equipment and facilities. Participate in improvement initiatives.

Purpose: Establish and maintain safe and compliant working environments and build a supporting culture.

Qualifications: SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification. Diploma in Safety Management or similar. SACPCMP registration.

Responsibilities: Develop, implement and improve HSE policies, procedures and programmes. Conduct risk assessments. Enforce HSE regulations and measures. Manage, advise and report on HSE initiatives and matters. Investigate HSE hazards and incidents.
